Abstract

Scientific journalism is way that allies the defense of the public interest through the information democratization, being governed for its own ethics and esthetics, with the themes of Science, Technology and Innovation. Scientific research has got in the past decades a huge development, not being accompanied by great public disclosure. It is a challenge to journalism, mainly specialized one, to solve this bottleneck, as the activity helps the society perception about scientific questions, causing a big diffusion of the conception of Science as a process that has cultural, historical, social and economical resonances in people's lives. This project has as objective to disclose the activities developed at FEsTA Research Center (Formulas and Stereotypes: Theory and Analysis). This agency is attached to Language Studies Institute (IEL), from State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and works at the theoretical reflection and empirical analysis from discursive forms called "text-formulas", as clichés, slogans, proverbs and stereotypes. It counts with seven researcher professors and the same number of research lines, and between professors and PhD students, the agency is involved with at least four more universities: São Paulo University, State University of Maringá and Federal Universities of São Carlos and Uberlândia.
