Abstract

The communication media are the main source of information about science and technology available to the general public. Despite de advances of science and technology, most of the population remain unconnected to the production of scientific and technological knowledge. The scientific journalism should demonstrate, through a critical point of view, that science and technology are activities with direct implications for the development of a country. This project aims to produce journalistic material about the activities developed by the research group on climate changes AlcSens, from Unicamp, member of Fapesp Program of research about global climate changes, in the electronic journal Com Ciência and in the communication channels created by the group. The AlcScens consists of 10 thematic groups of researchers studying the adaptation of Brazilian agricultural system, especially the production of sugarcane to the climate changes on the planet. It is a thematic project led by Dr. Jurandir Zullo Jr. (AU)
