Abstract

Autonomous vehicles have been thoroughly studied due to the possibility of solving many of the traffic problems faced nowadays. Instrumentation is inherent to this kind of vehicle and, in the case of the frontal laser scanner, measurements are affected by the movements of the vehicle body during riding. This project aims at designing and building a positioning device for the frontal laser scanner in order to compensate for the body movements of the autonomous vehicle's low-frequency range (below 10 Hz).(AU)
