Abstract

This project is about two main topics: 1. the comparative study of visual pigments in different genera of New World priamtes using the opsin sequences to stimate the absortion peak of each visual pigment; 2. study of the relationship between genetic markers for diabetic retinopathy in patients with diabetes type 1 and 2, with or without diabetic retinopathy.
