Abstract

This project aim to comprehend the Military Dictatorship's representation in the "Realidade" magazine's pages, which one was published monthly by Editora Abril between April 1966 and January 1976. This analysis will focus in the 33 first editions which have been considered as the periodical's "height", in other words, the editions that were published before the Institutional Act 05. "Realidade" had marked the Brazilian journalism's history because of its pioneerism in the journalistic style inspired in "new journalism", it reached huge circulation of copies and it treated about controversial issues for the period.
