Abstract

Because of the high demand for aesthetic plastic surgery, Brazil has achieved second place in the world wild ranking of plastic surgeries. Thus, this work intends to discuss the civil duties aspects of the plastic surgeon, against those interventions. It is most likely, that with the increase in the number of these surgeries, the number of problems that will occur in these interventions will also rise. Therefore, the civil duties, the guilty, and the link between casualty and injury will be considered as main subjects. However, the damage will be discussed further under the angle of the aesthetic damage affiliated with this professional. With this, through the search on the doctrine and jurisprudence, try to understand what is the bond that the plastic surgeon defines with his client, and ahead of a problem, how and who should answer for their actions. Nevertheless, we cannot forget that plastic surgery aims to improve the aesthetic appearance of people and solve even psychological problems because when looking for a plastic surgeon the client intends to achieve success in the procedure. Hence, it is important to take into consideration the professional obligation that the surgeon commits when performing cosmetic surgery, and verify if it is of means or of result, searching for a convincing answer on this subject.(AU)
