Abstract

The development of cartoons for the media market typically requires the training of professionals in the area. Currently, Portuguese literature on the subject are scarce, especially in the case of books about 2D animation techniques, which provide the basis for 3D applications. As to foreign literature, access to them for the Brazilian student is financially difficult and expensive. In this context arises the need for a project aimed at evaluating a bibliography of the principal authors of the area and summarizing the animation techniques in a material that can provide the theoretical basis for teaching this subject. The project will build on the books: "Cartoon Animation" by Preston Blair, "The Animator's Survival Kit" by Richard Williams - including their video lessons, "Timing for Animation" by Harold Whitaker and John Halas, "Gesture Drawing For Animation "By Walt Stanchfield, and" the Human Figure in Motion "by Eadweard Muybridge - which includes sequential pictures of humans in motion. Sites will also be analyzed as http://animatorevanildo.blogspot.com, and http://www.penciltestdepot.com/ http://www.referencereference.com/index.html. This material will provide the basis for the compilation of the main points and references necessary to aid in learning the production of cartoons.(AU)
