Abstract

This is a Comparative Literature project that aims to present the image construct by Eça de Queirós, renowned portuguese writer, about the Fae East. Using as theory support the work Orientalism of Edward Said and La Renaissance Orientale of Raymond Schwab, we wish to unmask the oriental representation in the works of the author of "O Mandarim"
