Abstract Fireman is a professional who has training and equipment to develop various tasks such as putting out fires, rescue people and provide disaster relief, and this is a population that is exposed to noise, especially from the vehicle sirens, which lies beyond the driver, other members of the firehouse. Such exposure can lead to noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL), which is characterized by an insidious and cumulative loss, sensorineural. So it was aimed to analyze the acoustic environments that these professionals are exposed in order to identify the conditions of sound environments, and profiling of audiological firefighters. Measurements of exposure to noise levels of the environments of the 10th Combat Team Fire the city of Marília-SP will be performed using a dosimeter digital subsequently be carried out in firefighters audiological anamnesis, otoscopy, pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, tympanometry and emissions distortion product otoacoustic. The results will enable an accurate diagnosis of the possible risk to health hearing in noisy environments with the firefighters. | |
