Abstract

Nosocomial infections are caused by fungis or bacteria and are the cause of millions of deaths every year. The primary aim are pacients with low immunity, like immunosuppressed and persons in the age extreme. Today, with the rising of resistant nosocomial infections, mainly because of the excess of antibiotics prescription, the research for new drugs is crucial, and the nitrocompounds, especially nifuroxazida analogs, showed a potential activity. This project proposes the design, synthesis, evaluation of antimicrobial activity and molecular modeling studies of novel furfuryliden and oxadiazolines derivatives against several nosocomial infections.
