Abstract

The objective of this work is to analyze the characteristics of TV Brasil as a public station. The study will be made based on the following criteria: system structure, management model, funding model and the broadcasted programming, this are key factors in a communication system. The methodology used in this proposal is qualitative, bounded by the case study, that provides a deep analysis. Having as a theoretical reference the Political Economy of Communication, this research aims to contribute to the understanding how the Brazilian public communication system is designed and instituted.
