Abstract

Titanium is a widely used as a material for substitution of anatomic structures, being considered inside odontology as the most common material employed in cases of bone-integrated implants. It has been described that the osseo integration, requisite for a good functionality of implants, is a slowly process, sequentially characterized for steps of adhesion, differentiation and cellular proliferation, as well as for apposition and mineralization of matrix deposited for osteoblasts. Thus how the implant technic application, the bone quality and surface treatment of titanium have a direct influence on osseo integration process. Therefore, the objective of this work is to evaluate, in vitro, if the modification of the titanium surface with a high energy laser, could improve those biological processes of proliferation, differentiation, and metabolical activity on mouse calvarial pre-osteoblast. To perform this, primary cultured cells metabolism are going to be analyzed (MTT test), their phenotypes markers (qPCR), enzymatic activity of alkaline phosphatase and mineralization nodule formation (Alizarin-red) too. The numeric data obtained from this proposed experimental protocol, is going to be analyzed by a two fixed criteria variance analysis, according to characteristics of the combined data of dependent variant. Scientific data gotten with this study, will be truly relevant to knowledge in the area in which this investigation fits. Those because, to accelerate the osseo-integration process means to reduce waiting time to a safety apply of functional load over titanium implants.
