Abstract

This research wants to show Monteiro Lobato's perspective about Brazilian modernisation. From to evidence that the author offered to think about development's problems of Brazil. The beginning, happening a diagnosis marked for ethics valuation (represented by Jeca Tatu and his lazy behaviour) which will be changing in 1920s as a necessity of economic and technology progress.
