Abstract

An experiment will be conducted at the Department of Animal Science, Universidade de São Paulo (USP), Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia(FMVZ) campus Pirassununga, SP, to evaluate the influence of management pre-incubation and incubation of fertile eggs and its effects on egg weight loss, percentage of pipped eggs, hatching percentage and hatchability, egg tester, embryo mortality and chick quality obtained. In this aspect will be evaluated characteristics such as feathers, beak and appearance of the eyes, legs, belly, size and other abnormalities. The incubation temperature is in the range of 37.5 ° - 38 ° C and relative humidity from 50 to 60%. The humidity of the storage room will be 70 to 85% to help control evaporation. Will be used 1620 fertile eggs from the Departamento de Avicultura from FMVZ in a completely randomized 2x2 factorial, with factors: storage time (5 and 10 days), storage temperature (13 and 16) for a total of 4 treatments with nine replicates of 45 eggs each. After the outbreak will be held embriodiagnosis unhatched eggs and classified as a consequence of infertility or embryonic mortality will be evaluated and the zootechnical performance, quality and carcass yield of broilers obtained from the incubation.
