Abstract

Reverse logistics consists of an activity that aims to manage the opposite process of direct logistics, dealing with products from their point of consumption to their point of origin. Its strategic objective is to recover value from a post-sales or post-consumption product. The research proposes to characterize reverse logistics in the lubrication sector, return from the productive chain's oil residue, identifying factors that influence reverse process management efficiency. The results obtained will enable the elaboration of a proposal for the restructuring of waste management practice at gas stations. The study will take place in a sample of gas stations that do oil change activities, also allowing for an investigation into pertinent resolution applications with the purpose of mitigating the environmental impacts in these sectors.
