Abstract

From the analysis of solar emissions in the meter and decimeter frequency bands is possible to get information, among other processes, about the heating of solar atmospheric plasma, the acceleration and trapping of energetic particles and the occurrence of coronal shocks, related to solar transient phenomena as solar flares and/or coronal mass ejections (CME). Therefore, they can be used as diagnosis of processes and physical mechanisms of emission associates to such phenomena, in the approach of fundamental questions of the solar physics still in discussion. For such reason, this project has for objective the development of a Ph.D. Thesis related to the analysis and the interpretation of the occurrence and evolution of solar emissions in meter and decimeter wavelengths and their association with solar flares and/or CMEs. The aim is to investigate open questions, such as if the shocks that generate the type II emissions are trigged by flares or by CMEs; also the possible identification of solar emissions as precursors of CMEs. The investigations proposed for the improvement of knowledge about the occurrence of solar eruptive phenomena will be carried out by the analysis of data recorded in a wide range of radio frequency, by instruments as Callisto, Ondrejov, Phoenix and Brazilian Solar Spectroscope (BSS) spectrographs and by interferometer as Brazilian Decimetric Array (BDA) (Thematic Project - FAPESP 06/55883-0), that will be put in regular operation in 2013.
