Abstract

This project will develop a study on the distribution networks of electricity Medium Voltage (MV), approaching the optimal allocation of cables on stations in the network. The problem consists of planning a new network of MV, as well as expanding and/or improvement of existing networks (estate planning), considering the great selection of drivers to be installed and/or exchanged at branches of the same. For this purpose, initially, a study will be made about the allocation of cables in MV distribution networks through existing software that uses a solution technique as Genetic Algorithm (GA). In this case, we discuss issues related to MV distribution networks, genetic algorithms, and Power Flow. Later, a study will be done on the Genetic Algorithm Chu Beasley (GACB). It is a variation of GA, which plans to hold a small adjustment in the allocation software allocation cable, making the GA in GACB. Thus, we intend to practice the acquired knowledge on the distribution networks of MV and metaheuristic GA and GACB through small adjustments in the existing computational tool with applications to the optimal selection of drivers for your extensions to be built on the MV network and/or enables the exchange of conductors in the existing extensions. Further testing and analysis of results in a power distribution network MV, originated from the company's electric power industry and literature. It is expected from the results of a configuration of a network with good quality cables for the MV system to operate at minimal cost due to the installation and/or replacement of conductors, complying with the technical and operational constraints of the network.(AU)
