Abstract

Purpose: to characterize the speech fluency of school children who no stutter (CWNS) regarding typology of disfluencies and frequency of ruptures, as well as the flow of syllables and words per minute. Methods: 40 children who no stutter (CWNS), of the public school of Marilia, with ages between 7.0 and 8.11 years, divided in two groups: GI was composed by 20 CWNS with ages between 7.0 and 7.11 years, and; GII was composed of 20 CWNS with ages between 8.0 and 8.11 years; with 10 males and 10 females for each group. The Speech Fluency Assessment Protocol will be used to gather and analyze the speech samples with 200 fluent syllables. It takes into consideration the frequency of speech disruption, the percentage of stuttered syllables, the flow of syllables, and word per minute. The data in this study will be analyzed by statistical method.(AU)
