The occurrence of bacterial leakage through the interface implant-prosthetic connector and subsequent colonization of the implants and their components can cause inflammatory reactions in peri-implant tissues. This study will assess, through the Checkerboard DNA hybridization technique, the effectiveness of an antimicrobial agent containing paste on the occurrence of bacterial leakage of the external environment to the interior of the implant through an implant-prosthetic connector. Thirty combinations of implant-prosthetic connectors with three different types of connections (external hexagon, n = 10; internal hexagon, n = 10, and cone-morse, n = 10) will be evaluated statically. Be made identical crowns for each connector, one simulating the first molar. Half of the implants will be attached to the components paste after the application of anti-microbial. The other half will serve as a control. After the union of components, assemblies, connectors and prosthetic implants are immersed in human saliva for 7 days. After the incubation period, the combinations will be reopened to harvest material from the interior of implants and prosthetic components and subsequent identification and quantification of microorganisms.
