Abstract

This research is an integrative review with the objective of analyzing the scientific production national and international about the training of lay people to care for cardiopulmonary arrest (CPR) using the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and identify teaching strategies adopted for the execution of these processes. In this study review, seven steps are taken: 1) Definition of search strategies; 2) Definition of inclusion and exclusion criteria for articles; 3) Definition of information to be extracted from the studies reviewed; 4) Review of the literature; 5) Analysis of the studies included in the integrative review; 6) Discussion and interpretation of results; 7) Synthesis of knowledge. As result, it is expected to identify in what places and population the experiments took place, what means were used for the learning of the participants, keeping in sight to increase the discussion of the major project, which studies the application of AED by laypeople.(AU)
