Abstract

Knowing about the gas emissions in systems of swine production and the storage of their effluents is an importante issue to protect the water resources and to diminish the environmental impact. The knowledge about the nature of these gas losses becomes relevant to mitigate the transference of pollution in the air. So, we aim at evaluate and adapt the methodologies of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change IPCC and Institute national de la recherche Agronomique INRA to measure the greenhouse gases in swine installations, respecting the Brazilian climate and constructive conditions. The adaptation of the available methodologies will contribute to quantify t he emissions of GEE, meeting the questions of technical and economical feasibility, according to the Brazilian reality.
