Abstract

This project is intended to conduct a study on the impact of shame in the discourse and the social bond. For that depart from the perspective of constitution of the subject by the bias of the psychoanalysis of Freud and Lacan, however, unlike the tradition of studies that place the blame as primary constitutional factor, we discuss this pathway using shame. Thus, the shame will be proposed as part of briefing for subjective and social aspects of contemporary society. For this, we depart from the observation of societies where shame and guilt do not focus as a regulatory element. These observations are anchored on anthropological studies and philosophy. Then we will have a conceptual delimitation of shame in psychoanalysis to operate with the concept that we will support our understanding. After the delimitation, we analyze the impact of shame in contemporary culture and its influence on subjectivity, discourses, and the social bond. The analysis will attempt to converge three key elements within the psychoanalytic theory, namely the body, the gaze and enjoyment. As the body and looking for crucial points that hover in the forms that structure the ways of human relations in culture. (AU)
