Abstract

The personal archives are endowed with the historical features, once they regard the private life of a determined person with such repercussions for the society; thus, they must be preserved due to the cultural, patrimonial, and testimonial value which characterizes the referred documentation. As a problem to this investigation, we are out to verify the challenges around the respect des fonds application in the organization of the personal archive. Thereby, we begin with the conception of Bellotto (2004) when referring to the essentiality of carrying out the organization of the historical archive documents by archive groups. The general objective is analyzing and reporting the Clarice Lispector Archive (CLA) organization methodology and, under this perspective, we will discuss how the identification of the record types could back up the insertion of this holding in an archival environment. This is about an investigation whose value is qualitative with methodological procedure accomplished through bibliographical, biographical, and exploratory review, besides looking up the inventory which we have been given away by the CLA. We believe, besides the challenges found due to the informalities which characterize the personal archive documentation, the report of the CLA experience will be outstanding, in special to the fields of Archival Science, History, Literature, and similar areas, because the archive is made up from a literature writer is an information and memory source and, therefore, a documental heritage which will more safely be maintained if organized in respect to the archive group constitution.(AU)
