Abstract

The Symmetry set of plane curves and surfaces in the Euclidean 3-space is extensively studied and has applications to computer vision, in particular, to shape recognition and reconstruction. The aim of this project is to study its analgue for curves (resp. surfaces) in the Minkowski plane (resp. 3-space). (AU)
