Abstract

In this research project is proposed the development of a methodology for optimal switch placement considering microgrid operation of distributed generators to improve the reliability of the electrical distribution network. The method is based on a mathematical model of Mixed Integer Non-linear Programming (MINLP) that considers the minimization of consumers are not supplied and the losses in distribution feeders. As advances in the state of the art of the problem it is proposed to include the minimization of the cost of switches to the model. To solve the proposed model should be used solution techniques based on evolutionary algorithms such as Genetic Algorithms (GA). (AU)
