Abstract

With the general aim to studying the ecophysiological aspects of resistant biotypes of Digitaria insularis (R) and susceptible (S) to glyphosate, will be assessed: a) existence of Digitaria insularis biotype resistant to glyphosate and its relation to the stage of development and temperature by the dose-response curves obtained in three stages: from 2 to 4 fully expanded leaf, tiller and a pair of three pairs of tillers. b) effect of temperature in the presence and absence of light (fixed 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 º C and alternating 10-20 ° C, 15-25 C, 20-30 C, 25-35 ° C and 15-35 ° C), c) effect of light - the duration (6, 8, 10, 14 and 16 hours) and quality (white, red, green, yellow, far-red, blue, orange and absent) and water availability (0.0, -0.2, -0.4, -0.6, -0.8 and -1.0 MPa) on germination of R and S, c) effect of sowing depth (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10 and 15 cm) in the emergence of its seedlings of R and S d) phenology and development of R and S, e) competitiveness of R with respect to S, by measuring the effect of density and proportion - additive and substitute assays. With the development of these experiments is expected to provide input for strategies for managing this weed, whose importance as a weed of agricultural areas is increasing.
