Abstract

Acid mine drainage (AMD) is an environmental disturbing caused by mining and consists in a percolating acidic, rich in metals, sulfur, low in nutrients solution and provides an advantageous environment for the interesting growth of bacteria and for the study of microbial community and bioleaching. The objective is to evaluate the bacterial community of DAM by pyrosequencing and identify important genes / pathways for bacterial survival
