Abstract

In Brazil, different information systems bring data about TB, however, these systems do not communicate each other and it can compromise the quality of health data. This way, the researchers and policy makers have discussed the importance of breeding systems in order to detect inconsistencies, quality or under-reporting. The researchers have proposed to analyze the mortality and hospitalizations due to underreporting of TB cases in Ribeirão Preto from TBWEB information systems, SIM and SIH / SUS from 2006 to 2011. The study is a descriptive and retrospective epidemiological study. To compare these systems will be considered Reclink the software that runs the probabilistic record linkage. In the process of analyzing the dependent variables are dichotomized. We next performed a bivariate analysis and applied the chi-square or Fisher's exact test, as appropriate. Will be used to estimate the odds ratios (OR, odds ratio) with confidence intervals of 95% (95%). It will also be considered the multivariate analysis to control for confounding factors by means of multiple logistic regression with backward stepwise strategy manualforward. The criteria for keeping variables in the final model will take into account the level of significance and goodness of fit of the model. This will be considered thelikelihood value and the Hosmer-Lemeshow test. The results may contribute comprehensive analyses of TB dynamic in context investigated, and also it can corroborate to health system surveillance demonstrating under-reporting favorable factors of TB cases and deaths.
