Abstract

The occupation of women in the labor market and its central role within the family, the organization and care of the house and the family, including breastfeeding, raising children and care of elderly and sick, differs according to socioeconomic segment belonging and that distinctly influences of health and morbidity profile, and use of health services.The present study assess morbidity profile, the prevalence of health-related behaviors and use of health services according conditions of insertion in the production process of adult women. We will analyze 508 women, participants in the Health Survey in the urban area of the city of Campinas - ISACAMP 2008/2009. It is population-based cross-sectional study was carried out with conglomerate sampling, in two stages: census tracts and households. Data were entered in EpiInfo 6.04 and will be analyze in Stata 11.0. The results should contribute to the improvement of public policies aimed at improving the health of women and initiatives to promote equity in health.
