Abstract

This proposal concerns a research project involving evaluating both the movement and the performance of railway composition along a known track. The entering (input data) of the system package are electrical characteristics of the composition and its area exposed to the air resistance. For the track, we have to know as well its characteristics such as Straight line Curves Ramps Friction parameters. The control politic aims, for example, for a minimum time journey. In the hand of all this data, the simulator is able to determine at each point of the track, the following information: A. Speed B. Power delivered C. Catenary Current absorbed. (AU)
