Abstract

The purpose through this research project is to grasp the process of territorialization of social movements in relation to access to water dammed by Hydroelectric Power Plants of Pontal of Paranapanema. The dispute over access to water in the region is led by the MST, by claiming access to the policy of demarcation of aquaculture parks in the newly created Ministry of Fishing and Aquaculture, and the MAB fight for the demands of families affected by the construction of the Engineer Sérgio Motta Hydroelectric Power Plant, Porto Primavera (Rosana / SP). Thus, it points to the need to examine ways of fighting that involves water in the region, in its various guises, that add to agrarian conflicts, already present in the region, and become even more complex the relations between capital, state and social movements.
