Abstract

The discussion proposed concerns the vital importance of food, which goes beyond the purely biological concepts, analyzing the food as a basic human right, discussing the need to implement policies to ensure Food and Nutritional Security. For clarification purposes, will be respected some of the key terms used in relation to Food and Nutritional Security and there will be an approach between the production and distribution of food has been happening in the world, which often leaves questions difficult to answer. The true explanation of how the dialectic between the ever-increasing food production around the world and hunger that kills millions of people every year, beside the constant threat to the balance of the environment is needed. The project intends to a more in-depth discussion about the food culture and its application in Brazil with statistics and explained how happens the logic of the prevailing economic model and family agriculture, which has great exponent in the food supply, in addition to being the best alternative to ecological sustainability. All analyzes will be made in light of the Democratic Rule of Law, always seeking the support of the legal rule to social rights. (AU)
