Abstract

In this project, we will study the granulation effect generated by modulating the scattering length of an atomic superfluid of 7Li atoms. This effect has been observed in our 87Rb system by oscillating the trapping potential. Additionally to the control of interactions, Prof. Hulet's experiment also has the advantage of being almost one-dimensional which facilitates the analyses. Furthermore, we will study the wave-matter soliton train which may be related to the granular state. (AU)
