Abstract

The use of ultrashort laser pulses has been growing due to the interest of both, technological and fundamental points of view. As a result of the broad spectral band of this type of laser, pulse shaping methods have prompted, allowing optimizing the pulse itself as well as to control the interaction of light with matter. This new area suggests that important advances in controlling and understanding light-matter interaction can be achieved, allowing, for example, to obtain products or molecular states that are not easily achieved.This project aims to investigate the optimization of the photocatalysis, induced by multiphoton absorption, mediated by TiO2, by coherent control the light-matter interaction via spectral pulse shaping. For this purpose, we will use as the probe molecule rhodamine B. The phase modulation obtained by the coherent control will be interpret and related to molecular and spectroscopic aspects of TiO2 and rhodamine.
