Abstract

This project proposes to contribute to the studies on the land struggle in current context, qualifying the data from Land Struggle Database - DATALUTA, which is an ongoing process into the Center for Studies, Research and Agrarian Reform Projects - NERA and DATALUTA network. We intend to study all kinds of field manifestations in the process of land struggle, using the records of the Pastoral Land Commission - CPT since 2000, making an analysis with the time frame from 2000 to 2011 and the spatial area of the state of Sao Paulo. Since the CPT as a basis, we will be able to identify typologies of manifestations contained in their records for the purpose of establishing a standard record of the actions performed by the most diverse social subjects of the field. The objective of this project is to understand, under geographical viewpoint, the meaning of peasant manifestations as an element of the spatial distribution of the land struggle in the wake of agrarian issue.(AU)
