Abstract

Currently the study of agricultural techniques has sought better management practices for agriculture, to increase the productive potential, but without changing the characteristics of the production. The technique of TDR have been outstanding for this purpose due to its ease of use, fast and accurate information gathering, non-destructive method, and is not influenced by texture, density and salinity. It is also characterized due to its applicability in different media such as soil, water and air, which lets you find the volumetric water content and electrical conductivity. Other more recent techniques such as sensor GS3 has also been studied, for performing the same functions that TDR, but with specific characteristics. In this context, the Utah State University shows excellence in their research in this area and thus the project proposal aims to provide opportunities to Fabiana improve her knowledge on the moisture measurement technique important to complete her undergraduate research, in addition to academic achievement and future professional career.
