Abstract

The presence of micro-organisms in the water supply of dental units and piping for the number of high speed is a problem that has been well documented in the literature and the ability to be a source of contamination during the treatment of patients. Compressed form of the biofilm, such micro-organisms are more resistant and their disposal is difficult. The aim of this study is to quantify total bacteria and fungi / yeast present in the reservoirs and water lines in parts of the high rotation of Clinics, School of Dentistry of Bauru - USP, and compare the numbers of CFU / ml in each local, to implement infection control measures.
