Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate in vitro via push-out test, the bond strength of new calcium aluminate cement (EndoBinder, Binderware) to the root dentin in the cervical, middle and apical compared to MTA cements Fillapex (Angelus) and AH Plus (Dentsply). Fifty maxillary canines will be separated into five groups (n = 10) according to the material used for fillings: G1 - + EndoBinder gutta-percha, G2 - EndoBinder without gutta-percha, G3 - MTA Fillapex + gutta-percha; G4 - MTA Fillapex without gutta-percha and G5 - AH Plus + gutta-percha. After obturation, the teeth will be sectioned into dentin discs/plugs (2 mm), two for each root third, and submitted to the push-out test in a universal testing machine (EMIC DL 2000 - 0.5 mm / min) to evaluate the bond strength of filling material to root canal walls. The fractured samples will be submitted for analysis by scanning electron microscopy (JSM 5410, Sony) for classification of fracture patterns in adhesive, cohesive or mixed. Data will be submitted to appropriate statistical tests to analyze the results.(AU)
