Abstract

In this project it will be done a theoretical study of the properties and the dynamics of the system composed by an optical cavity and a partially reflexive membrane(mechanical harmonic oscillator) located within the cavity. It will be studied non-classical properties like the quantum entanglement and also the effects of the pumping of the cavity by an external field. It will be also considered special arrangements with coupled cavities, aiming the investigation of entanglement generation between distant cavities and the system robustness against interations with the environment.
