Abstract

The use of techniques for rice production as fertilization and use of growth regulators can allow the resumption of the cultivation of upland rice in the lower Vale do Ribeira, São Paulo State - Brazil, part of the watershed of Ribeira de Iguape and South Coast has soil and climate conditions that once led to major rice growing participation in the economy of the region, and that for economic reasons has been replaced over time by cultures tea, banana, peach palm and livestock farming. Thus this project will evaluate the effect of growth regulator and the use of N in coverage with respect to the plant development, leaves nutrient, SPAD readings, simple economic analysis and grain yield rice cv. IAC 202. These studies are of great importance to the region in question because it is a clear lack of information on cultivation techniques that allow for increased production and consequent improvement in the income of producers.
