Abstract

The study intends to answer the question of what are the conditions of housing accessibility in a long-term institution in the state of Sao Paulo, considering the functionality of the elderly and aims to analyze the conditions of accessibility in relation to housing the elderly in institutions. The increase in the elderly population brings to society demands for services in search of experiences of aging and quality of life. This is a descriptive study to update the method of quantitative and qualitative research. Will be used for data collection observation, semi-structured interview, and assessment tools in functional capacity. For data analysis, descriptive statistics were used it to scale for measuring functionality and content analysis to interviews with open questions. Around 60 elderly residents will participate in the study.(AU)
