Abstract

The aim of this in vitro study will be to evaluate the dentin bond strength submitted to hypersensitivity treatments using CPP-ACP and diode laser through de shear test. Fifteen bovine teeth roots will be used, which will be cut one slice per root. Four specimens will be obtained of each slice and of these will be divided into one sample per group (a total of 60 specimens - 4x4x2mm). The specimens will be ground flat and randomly divided into 4 groups (n=15): G1- Control (no treatment); G2 - CPP-ACP; G3 - Diode laser; G4 - CPP-ACP + Diode laser. After the treatments, the specimens will be stored in deionized water for 24h and then the area of the adhesive protocol will be delimited (2 mm diameter) and composite resin cones will be built up using a split Teflon matrix (2 mm diameter/4mm height). After 24 h storage in artificial saliva at 37ºC shear bond strength will be tested in a universal testing machine (50 kgf at 0.5 mm/min). The data will be analyzed in a statistical test to be defined.(AU)
