Abstract

This work deals with the synthesis and characterization of Pd(II), Pt(II), and Ag(I) compounds containing hydrolyzed proteins of bovine milk serum or egg white as well citric pectin. The idea consists of preparing metallic chelates containing natural ligands to use as antimicrobial or anticancer drugs. Besides that, the milk serum, a proteic subproduct from the lacticínio industry, has been inadvertently discarded in rivers carrying out serious ambient risks. This project will have the collaboration of Profs. R. Monti, T. M. Bauab and I. Z. Carlos of FCF-UNESP as well Profs. Adelino V. G. Netto and E. Maffud of this Institute.(AU)
