Abstract

This research project will be developed in two phases: Phase 01, which aims to make the translation and cultural adaptation of the Detailed Assessment of Speed of Handwriting - DASH for students 09 to 16 years old. The methodological procedure will follow four steps, (1) assessment of conceptual and item equivalence, (2) evaluation of semantic equivalence, (3) operational equivalence (4) measurement equivalence. Phase 02 aims to characterize the profile of the writing of students according to the five tasks of the DASH, and to compare the performance of students according age, gender and grade level. 546 students will participate in this phase, of both genders, aged 09 years to 16 years old and 11 months, attending public schools from the city of Marilia-SP divided into eight groups: GI composed to 68 students from 09 years old, GII composed to 84 students from 10 years old, GIII composed to 75 students from 11 years old, GIV composed to 75 students from 12 years old, GV composed to 82 students from 13 years old, GVI composed to 55 students from 14 years old, GVII composed to 44 students from 15 years old, and GVIII composed of 63 students from 16 years old. These students will be subject to application of the five tests (translated and adapted) the DASH. Data analysis is performed using scores on each task of the procedure and the results will be statistically analyzed in order to characterize and to compare the performance of students in this study the DASH tasks.
