Abstract

With the advent of tissue engineering, new strategies have been described in the literature, regarding endodontic treatment. Thus, the development or improvement of clinical therapies is necessary in order to achieve the desired success. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the biological effects of calcium hydroxide and mineral trioxide aggregate on dental pulp stem cells (DPSC), with the purpose of capping the regenerated dental pulp. DPSC will be cultured and assayed for gene expression (DSPP, DMP-1, and Runx2), at 1, 7, 14, and 21 days in contact with the materials conditioned media. Data will be compared with non-treated cells (control group).(AU)
