Abstract

Will be conducted at the Poultry Sector of Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP), Ilha Solteira Engineering College, two experiments with finality of evaluated the use of Piper cubeba as a substitute to growth promoters in diets for broiler chickens. Will be used 500 Cobb male chicks with a day-old, with the objective to evaluate two ways of including the of Piper Cubeba seeds, being those in Experiment I ethanol extract of the seeds and the seeds crushed Experiment II, will be used for each experiment three levels of inclusion. The effects of inclusion will be evaluated through performance parameters and biochemical analysis of blood serum of birds. The studied topics are going to be submitted to variance analysis, and if there´s a statistical significancy, the averages will be compared by the Tukey test, using a 5% probability level.
