Abstract

The present purpose for my sabbatical aimed at exploring the methodological discussions involved in both general arts research and dance, specifically. Further, it will support me on the development of this research subject, which is indeed in progression in Brazil focused on artistic practices ethnography discussions (Fortin, 2009). Regarding the general arts, this debate was founded by Weber (2010a; 2010b) based on the background acquired at the PhD program from L'Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), the same Institution where I will spend my sabbatical. The scheduled activities will allow me, at the end of the program, to design in detail the next stages of my research, specially the fieldwork, as well as to prepare myself to be involved in future researches in this knowledge area.
