Abstract

The term exchange is used to describe the experience of people who will study for a certain period in another country, with the aim of improving knowledge and relationships with other people, other languages and cultures. VetAgro Sup, Institute of higher education and research in food, animal health, agricultural and environmental sciences offers institutional exchanges with opportunities to deepen and broaden knowledge in the areas of clinical and surgery of small and large animals, animal nutrition and health establishing new contacts for development of scientific and educational projects, set within an international dimension. Thus, we aimed at the stage of research with the Clinéquine - VetAgro Sup / Université de Lyon, with a view to the daily monitoring of clinical care and hospital-surgical cases of acute abdomen in horses seeking additional, perfecting the knowledge of the pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of equine colic and so apply them with the doctoral thesis, in progress, entitled "Comparitive study of serum protein concentration in clinical occurance or experimentally induced colic horses."
