Abstract

The research project aims at analyzing how the cultural landscape of the Spanish regions is used as a factor of regional development and how the tourist activity in this case is implemented by creating cultural routes and itineraries. The purpose of this intent is to broaden perspectives on this practice from other experiences that meet the research activity in Brazil that the thesis proposes to develop.This work is justified to the extent that Brazil, on the one hand, has invested in public policies to preserve what they perceive as a cultural heritage tourist potential, but on the other hand, has received, by the academy, a timid attention in this field of study . The discussions that bring together scientific research related to cultural heritage and tourism begin to present their findings recently in the discussion forums and discussions generate promising, although not yet incorporated into the thoughts, the understanding of tourism as a scientific field of study. It can be seen this way, the need to conduct research in centers of reference on this subject, in this case Spain.To achieve these goals, will be crucial to participation in courses offered by the teacher co-advisor in the School of Architecture top of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, the analysis of material within the International Laboratory of Cultural Landscapes and literature at the same university.They will be researched sources for the cultural heritage of Spain that are at the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Spain (ECPI). Madrid. Will be consulted documental and bibliographic IPCE of which are divided in file, Library and Photo Library.Also analyzed are the sources realize that allow the appropriation of cultural heritage for tourism and found in the Documentation Centre of Tourism in Spain (TSDC), Madrid, to the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism. This center is a reference both the number of documents, as for their quality. (See the online catalogs allow a variety of advertising materials for my research are essential)The perspective of this work is supported in the discussion that develops Joaquin Sabaté about the importance of cultural heritage for regional development through the enhancement of the cultural landscape.Thus, it is believed that the possibility of expanding the theoretical discussions and learn about other realities that use cultural heritage - for example, cultural routes and tours - as part of a public presentation and appreciation of its history , as it has done, for example, the intellectuals of Spain, will contribute greatly to the quality of the thesis that is under development.
