Abstract

The present project aims to study the reality of possibles in the philosophy of Thomas Aquinas. Thus, it intends to study the ways of saying the possible, paying special attention in the possible said absolutely and not-created. Thus, it will discuss deeply five theses that sustain the question on reality of possibles, namely: (1) that what is possible is not contradictory; (2) that, before something is made, it was possible for that to be made; (3) that God does what is possible; and (4) that, if one is in someway, it is because of God; and (5) that what is contradictory, it is nothing. Besides it will explore the availability of defending that not-created possibles exist as ideas in the divine intelligence.
